It is my next reborn project! I used antique kimono, Japanese fabric and Japanese obi to make new items to today.  I enjoy my reborn project. Giving new life is such wonderful work! This scarf has beautiful design, Japanese fans, flowers and colors. It's quite different to other scarfs.  It would be a great Christman gift idea! This item is on my store Etsy. Japanese kimono fabric scarf. I bought this fabric at Kyoto antique market in Japan. This is beautiful Tanmono fabric. Tanmono is roll of cloth. We use tanmono to make kimono and Yukata. This scarf has a beautiful design with red and white Camelia and clear Japanese komon print on the  light lavender cloth. This japanese obi made by Nishijin-ori.  Nishijin-ori is the highest quality and most luxurious kimono fabric type of all.  It is made from gold or colored brocade on silk, and it is well-known for its beauty and sophistication.  Handmade by MashtonMashton This beautiful Japanese obi was sleeping in the closet until I found it.  So my projects will give it new life!  It will be reborn!  I will post what I made from this beautiful japanese obi soon.  Have a nice day! :)

The bag handles are also made from the same fabric.  I used kimono fabric inside of bag. Actually, That's light pink kimono was from my customer. She gave me her kimonos when I was in Japan last time. Her kimonos were beautiful but she said "I have too many kimonos and some of them I don't wear anymore. But its too wasteful (MOTTAI NAI) to take them to the trash." I completly understand her feeling. Because Japanese kimonos and obis are just gorgeous. In the past, kimonos and obis are passed down through the generations from grandmather to mother, mother to daughters etc... But for some reason today, we don't have much opportunity to pass kim...
